Founder and Executive Director
- Emily Nyindodo is a visionary leader and activist who fosters sustainable development and prosperity within Kenyan rural communities. Born and raised in Kusa-Obugi, Nyakach Constituency, Kisumu County, Kenya, Emily's upbringing instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to improving the lives of those around her. A multifaceted leader with a rich tapestry of experience spanning project management, organizational transformation, and community development. A seasoned Senior IT Project Management Professional based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Emily has left an indelible mark across various industries, including financial investment, healthcare, insurance, pension funds, and technology.
- Driven by her passion for social change and belief in collective action's transformative power, Emily founded the Anyango Nyindodo Foundation, a charitable organization registered under the Kenya Non-Governmental Organizations Coordination Act No. 19 of 1990. Inspired by Emily's family heritage, the foundation's name reflects her profound connection to her roots and her unwavering dedication to serving her community.
- Under Emily's leadership, the Anyango Nyindodo Foundation has become a beacon of hope and opportunity for countless individuals across Kenya. Guided by a steadfast commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, the foundation pursues a holistic approach to community development, addressing key issues such as poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, clean water, sanitation, economic growth, and infrastructure.
